It’s been MUCH too long!

What a strange and wonderful year! My time does not seem to be my own though, but I’ve got to find some organizational tips to keep me on track.

After finding a part time job, outside the home, in February, our strange winter (snow in June?!!!!???), some family health issues, new babies, and my amazing Weight Watchers Adventure, I’ve been crazy busy!

The good news is, I have reached lifetime status with Weight Watchers after loosing 42 pounds! (I will be posting my before and after photos very soon so watch for them!) It was a wonderful journey, and VERY easy program to stay with, I met some amazing and inspirational people, AND learned an easy and sensible way to eat, FOREVER!

MORE good news is, I’m getting ready to release FOUR new patterns for My Life In Stitches! They are Halloween “treat” bags (but I was thinking they would be adorable little purses too! If you DARE!) Percy Pumpkin, Wanda the Witch, Frankie (the adorable “monster”) and Scaredy Cat. They are made from felt so very fast and easy to make. They will be released to my etsy store CraftFaery on September 6th, in plenty of time to make before Halloween! So watch for them! Special pricing for the month of September too!

Wishing you all well, and Happy Stitiching!

My Weight Watchers Adventure

Hi everyone, I know it’s been quiet a while since I’ve posted on my blog. A lot going on lately, and we AGAIN have snow in the mountains! We are pretty sick of snow up here I have to say!

Anyway, back to my Weight Watchers adventure! I have currently lost 31 pounds since January 26th! I have changed my habits considerably! This is such an easy program! We’ve even had a potluck to celebrate our groups “virtual” walk along the Pacific Coast trail! We’ve pooled our activity points and walked from Mexico to Canada! Our next goal is to loose, as a group of course, 2011 pounds in 2011. We already have lost 600 pounds collectively! Go team!

I have also discovered a GREAT new product! PB2 is a powered peanut butter that has had all the peanut oil removed. You just add water! For a tablespoon of PB2 it’s ONE point instead of 5! You can have a peanut butter sandwich for 5 total points by using the PB2, spreadable fruit and Sara Lee reduced wheat bread! I have to say, you won’t miss any of the fat! PB2 is available at some stores throughout the US but is easily available on-line from Bell Plantation. They also have some Peanut Butter thins I’m dying
to try! Check them out at

My Weight Watchers Adventure

Wow! I finally made it to my regular meeting! Snow and work have definately gotten in the way lately! Anyway, to date I have lost 22 pounds! It truly has been easy, the easiest Weight Watchers plan ever. My goal is to make Lifetime Membership this time! My instructor is amazing too! She is a great friend!

I took my friend Marie with me this time and she joined too! She has lost 40 pounds recently because of some medical problems, and her goal is to keep those pounds off! Since Weight Watchers teaches you how to eat REAL FOOD in the REAL world, I knew it would be perfect for her. Now we are weight loss buddies! She’s been such great support already, now I can help her too.

I know I say this every time, but if you want to loose weight, get healthy and stay that way, contact Weight Watchers today for a group in your area. They also have a terrific on line program. Do it today, IT WORKS!

Next week I’ll be sharing a GREAT recipe with you too! And yep, it’s Weight Watchers!

I’m BACK!

Oh my gosh! I have been so bad at posting to my blog, I’m so sorry if you’ve come looking for new things and kept getting the same old stuff! Between working part time, Weight Watchers, power outages and shoveling snow (did I mention I’ve been shoveling snow?!) Time sure slips away when you’re having fun…..:0/

I finally got pictures downloaded from our most recent snow storms here in the mountains. Needless to say, I’m really tired of the white stuff! News is our governor is trying to say the drought here in California is over, but “others” say no……we’ll see. For now the sun is happily trying to shine, the snow is melting off of our roof and I can almost walk up our driveway without my ice spikes on my shoes!

Thought I’d share a couple of photos with you! If you are in sunshine, be happy!

Happy Spring!

Quote of the week and Weight Watchers

I have been so lax on my blog, and for those of you actually reading it, I apologize. I’ve been out of practice on this “job” thing for a while and it does take some getting used to! However, things are going well and I wanted to take a minute to update everyone on the adventures of Kerry the “craft fairy”!

First, I have to catch you up on my Weight Watchers Adventure! As of today I have lost a total of 18.6 pounds!!!!!!!!!! Yeah me! And truly I’m not kidding, it is so easy to stay on! I find that with working again, I don’t always have time to eat a whole meal during my break, but as they say at WW, you don’t want to be hungrey! So I have been looking into quick snacks that I can pop in my locker. I take a piece of fruit but sometimes I only get 10 minutes so I want something super fast and not a lot of WW points (and good for me too if possible! :0) I have discovered the Special K cracker chips and my FAVORITE is the Special K pretzel/chocolate bar! YUM-O! It’s 2 points, it satisfies that sweet tooth and it fills me up so I don’t run around hungry! The cracker chips come in herb and plain, both are good. I prefer the plain though, 3 points! It’s great with a hamburgar or garden burger, or just to have that crunch! Give them a try, even if you aren’t on a weight loss adventure like me, they taste good!

Ok, the quote of the week? “YES YOU CAN!”

Start your own adventure, you’ll feel wonderful!~

My Weight Watchers Adventure

Well I didn’t make it to the meeting due to a snow storm, BUT I did check via my home scale (which is 2 pounds lighter than at Weight Watchers…..) and taking that into consideration, I lost another 1.2 pounds! So total weight loss in my first month…………drum roll……………..10.4 pounds! Oh my gosh and it was easy!

My biggest challenge these last couple of weeks was starting a new job, at a grocery store…………..with a deli counter and Starbucks! But I swear, I did not go there! I either brought a great lunch OR bought a Weight Watchers frozen dinner (very yummy and quiet a selection!) It has been stormy and snowy in my neck of the woods too, so I’ve earned a lot of Activity points shoveling snow.

I truly feel better, even though sore from my new job, and know this is something I truly can live with. Hoping to reach my goal weight of -40 by this summer sometime.

Take the challenge, you won’t be sorry! See you next week, just a bit smaller……:0)

Quote of the Week!

I think this one is appropriate for all over the country (and parts of the world) right now….

“snow & rain, go away, come again some other day!” – childhood nursery rhyme

Everyone be safe out there! There’s another storm a brewin’

Weight Watchers Adventure

Sorry this is a day late but wanted to share last weeks progress. I lost another .9 pounds! I did not eat all of my points which I think is part of the problem. I did a lot of shoveling of snow for my activites too. I’m very pleased. Total weight loss, 9.2 pounds!

This week I’ve discovered some of the Weight Watchers Smart Ones frozen meals. I’ve found they are pretty convient for work days, but I try to stay away from them on regular home meals. Ziti Pasta is YUMMY and only 6 points! I’ve also tried the Latte frozen ice cream bars. If you like coffee you’ll love these! And only 1 point!

So if you haven’t taken the challenge and you have some weight to loose, I really do encourage you to join Weight Watchers today. If you can’t make it to meetings, you can do Weight Watchers on-line too!

See you next week!

Winter is Back in Pollock Pines!

Well just when we got spoiled on wonderful weather, Old Man Winter hit us again. We got about 2 feet in less than 24 hours where I live, which is alot for us. Luckily it was the fluffy stuff so shoveling wasn’t too difficult. We did loose power for a few days though and this is the first opportunity I’ve had to get on my computer again. Hopefully we’ll have some sunny days to melt what’s on the trees.

I thought I’d share some photos with you all. Stay warm out there!
